Does protein stimulate hair growth?

I've been to the doctors as I used to have a condition called Trichotillomania which I have now stopped doing. It resulted in slight hair loss and my doctor said eat and drink high protein sources. Is that going to make hair grow faster?Does protein stimulate hair growth?
As long as you are healthy, your hair will grow. If you have damaged your hair roots by pulling the hair out, the hair may never grow back in those spots. Once the follicle is damaged or destroyed, there will never be any new ones formed. You have all the hair you will ever have when you were born. Hair grows at its own rate, and you can't make it go any faster than it wants to. But good health always makes everything work better.Does protein stimulate hair growth?
Only if you have a protein deficiency. Eating more protein than you nee ed will not make your hair grow faster or better than its normal rate but having a deficiency will slow it down and make it weaker and sometimes grow in odd patterns. The same is true with finger and toe nails.
it makes it stronger which therefor might make it grow faster it protein repairs and makes cells, thats why people who want muscles drink protein shakes so it strenthens your hair and your fingernails!
You think people here are going to know better than your doctor?
No. It will just make your hair when it comes in healthier
